The draw for the group stages of next summer’s Euro 2020 took place on Saturday evening. It’s fair to say Germany manager Joachim Low wasn’t best pleased when he found out Germany’s opponents: World Cup winners France and Euro 2016 winners Portugal. Bayern Munich slipped up at home to Bayer Leverkusen. The result leaves them in fourth spot, behind Schalke, Borussia Mönchengladbach and leaders RB Leipzig. In midweek, Frankfurt enjoyed a 2-1 away win at London side Arsenal in the Europa League. The win brought to an end Unai Emery’s time in charge of the gunners, as he was sacked following a string of poor results. English wonderkid Jadon Sancho has been linked with a move from Borussia Dortmund back to England. Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United are among those rumoured to be interested in signing him. BBC Sport featured an in-depth article on him this week.
