Rosamunde Pilcher has died at the age of 94. The British author will be remembered for her best-selling novels set in Cornwall. These enjoyed huge success in Germany, where ZDF has televised more than a hundred of her stories. This even led to her winning the British Tourism Award. Watch out for the German tourist next time you’re on the Cornish coast! Was James Bond actually German? According to an exhibition in Bochum, the renowned British Spy has roots in the Ruhr Valley. There has been much debate recently over the character’s background and who should be cast to undertake the historic role. Maybe we should check if Til Schweiger is available?
