Dresden heist

Jewellery stolen from the Dresden jewel heist last year was allegedly discovered for sale on the dark web. Investigation firm CGI Group claim they were offered two of the stolen items online for €9m, including the most valuable item, the 49-carat ‘Dresden White’ diamond.

Politics

Interior Minister Horst Seehofer’s plans to mandate the use of officially regulated booths for passport photographs were met with protest from photography studios. More here (English) and here (German).

Environment

Tagesschau interviewed veteran Green Party member and founder Hans-Christian Ströbele  as the party celebrates its 40th anniversary.
