A new exhibition on Charlotte Salomon, a German artist who died in Auschwitz in 1943, opened at the Jewish Museum in London. Her autobiographical graphic novel: ‘Life? Or Theatre?’ is the centre-piece; critic Jonathan Jones’ 5* review (“it’s like a storyboard for a Wes Anderson film”) gives rich context to her work and its expressionist influences.
